Raining on a Metal Floor

There was a place in the late twentieth century where the hover vessels had become rusted from a lack of use. They laid scattered about and broken upon the man-made floor, a sea of metal sheets with diamond rivets for rubber soles to grip. The city surrounding these cracked, reddened vessels was populated by towers and skyscrapers, each with dark hollows and missing corners. Rubble was everywhere.

Rain fell constantly from an eerie orange glow. Even the sunshine seemed saddened by the passing of time.

When they landed after only two years of being away, their 1980’s was gone.

“Hey, wanna rent that movie Gone Girl?”

“Sure.”

And that’s what we did while picking up some groceries. Before we swipe our card, the Red Box kiosk asks us, “Would you like to add a game for free?”

So we decided to add a free game as well.  We went with The Evil Within for no apparent reason. Worst case scenario: we don’t play a free game, no worries.

And then this happened:

Feels weird.

Feels weird.

I opened it because it was oddly… paperish:

Yeah. It's paper.

Yeah. It’s paper.

I held it for no apparent reason but to make sure I hadn’t gone insane.

I guess this really is The Evil Within

Oh, the irony of an object called The Evil Within.

Not much needed to be said here. By rules of logic, I’m assuming some teenager (I seriously hope this wasn’t the doing of an adult) took their parent’s credit card, and came up with this fantastic idea, without realizing their credit card number can be traced. In any case, this brightened my day.

People.

Just people.

Like five hungry children to one biscuit, nothing is personal.

They’re children who are hungry, the idea of sharing isn’t even in the ballpark.

They fight hard, some harder than others. Perhaps one sits back and, conniving, decides to attack the best of them while they’re winded.

The opposition doesn’t matter. The end result does. The biscuit.

In the end, one child grabs the last biscuit and eats it. Some would say that the one with the biscuit was obviously the best of them, and that they won.

That child didn’t win. They got the biscuit.

The difference is in the context.

Life’s on loop.

Shedding or Rotting?

Daily, Not Chocolate, Phoenix, Whatever

YOU.

Do you think you’re stuck in a particular moment of your life where everything sucks? It could be that you’re shedding your skin. It’s not a fun process, but when you’re going through a process of awesome rebirth (like a motherfucking phoenix), you have to go through some pain. For balance. You know, higher power nature stuff.

And not to scare you, but… it could be that you’re just rotting. Taking up space. Filthy, disgusting, smelly, rotting.

HAVE A NICE DAY! ^___^

Snowball.

Depression, Fantasy, Keaton G. Wolfe, Loss, Reading, Red Abyss Insatiable, Sexual Abuse, Wordpress, Writing

Well, this is my first official post here on WordPress. So I guess I’ll discuss why I’ve decided to come here and what I plan to do. It seems fitting.

First off, hello to my fellow Earthlings! And for those not from Earth, welcome, welcome!

My name is Keaton G. Wolfe, and you can learn a little more about who I am in my bio. Here, I’ll talk to you about my current projects, news, and what you can expect as this snowball grows into… a bigger snowball, I suppose!

My current project is a surreal fantasy undergoing serious tones and adult themes, such as sexual abuse, depression, loss, the ramifications of major decisions, and otherworldly existence.

Why Fantasy? To be honest, I originally planned on writing a non-fiction due to the graphic and psychologically jarring overtones. The reason I decided to create a fantasy series is because I’m able to both deal with some important issues while at the same time feeding my desire to create without chains. I can put the most beautifully bred unicorn next to the most realistically disturbed psychopath, and if the stars were right, the two of them could have a conversation about what it means to be alive. Also, I just like surreality in tales, as well as a good story to analyze. Also, you can learn about how I began my passions as a writer, as well as more about the genre of my choosing here:

(Yes, I have two Blogspot accounts, both of which I’ve been fairly active with since finishing my first completed manuscript…  You can find all the info and progress here if you’re interested) :

So why create a WordPress account? I imagine I’ll be keeping this as a journal on writing.

To be honest, a fellow writer and friend recommended I come here and try it out, and I was thinking it’s a good idea. Her WordPress account can be found here: http://aunnielauren.wordpress.com/ and I would recommend you check it out sometime and see if it tickles your fancy.

Alright, I think that about sums it all up. I imagine I’ll be more active on here as time goes on. I’m still not entirely sure what I’d like this account to be, whether it’s to widen both my audience as well as the people I connect with, or if I’ll use this account to just write about writing. Either way, I hope you have a nice dinner whenever it is you eat dinner… assuming you eat dinner.
